Tracking Growth of Backlinks

Tracking backlinks is important, but you also want to track their growth. Why? Because you want to keep moving forward, and you can’t do that if you don’t keep getting more backlinks. It’s important to remember to keep expanding your web presence and your business endeavors, even if you seem to be doing well in the present.

You might not always have the customers or clients that you have now, and if you don’t continue to get more, your business could really suffer. That’s true if you’re selling goods or services, or if you’re just relying on revenue from people clicking on ads that are on your site. Either way, you want to keep new people coming there all the time.

Of course, you will not track your backlinks unless you know why you should track them.

They are the biggest differentiating factor Google uses for ranking for relevance.
Search Engines see them as votes in favor of your site.
Who links to you makes a difference.  Stronger Google PageRank sites linking to you are better than weaker sites … quality of links are important.
Link Breadth – the number of different sites that are linking to you is important … quantity, yes, but also links that are coming from diversified C-class IP addresses as well.
All of the onsite optimization you do (Unique Titles, descriptions, etc) will go to waste without getting a lot of backlinks.

You might want to consider other content on your site, things that are well-written, and an expansion of issues that matter to the kind of people you want to attract.   Continuing to do keyword research is an important routine to drive new content titles and writings.

Growing backlinks isn’t about just getting more of them, it’s about cultivating the right relationships with the right bloggers and site owners so that the backlinks you receive are the right ones for you. Your business won’t grow on the Internet if you don’t continue to get quality backlinks. All the tracking tools in the world won’t help you if you lack a comprehensive backlink growth strategy.

Backlinks: Gain backlinks fast

Backlinks.

Unlike Bing and Yahoo, Google’s Organic Search Engine results is largely driven by backlinks (links from other sites pointing to yours).

In the ancient history of the Web (the 1990s), the perceived ‘wisdom’ was that you, as the Webmaster of a new website or as an Internet Marketer, would simply send a polite email or letter to another Webmaster in your niche with a more authoritative site and kindly asked her or him to put a link on their site to yours.

They then read your correspondence, were moved by your eloquent prose and promptly placed a link on their site to yours and when Google noticed (usually pretty quickly), you may have gotten a little upward bump in the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages).

Fast forward to today.

The Web is a super-busy mega expressway and if you come over and visit me on my backlinks info site, I’ll show you sites building literally millions of backlinks a year for highly competitive terms. Yes, I said millions of backlinks. Scary, huh?

But in fact, for only moderately competitive terms, I want to show you very specific backlinking tactics and strategies that I have developed such as Site Bracketing, Forum Clustering, Double Pass Backlinking and Signature Surges that will get you moving on to Page 1.

Consistently.

And the financial difference between having your site cemented to the bottom of Page 64 on Google and being high on Page 1 is immense.

So let me run through my fundamental principles for proven Google Page 1 Results:

[1] One keyword only per page (not site);

[2] Same anchor text for all backlinks to a specific page (yes, it doesn’t look ‘natural’ but neither does flying in a metal tube at 30,000 feet and that works pretty well too!);

[3] Make sure that your backlinks sites are not all hosted on the same IP Address (e.g. Ning, Kickapps, Movable Type);

[4] Sustain your backlinking and don’t drop off for 3 months and expect rankings to keep going up;

[5] Make sure that your SEO fights are winnable with research BEFORE committing to a new site;

[6] Keep your ‘timetable of expectations’ realistic – 3 months is about right (this is also what SEO Godfather Aaron Wall states about backlinking timeframes);

[7] Ignore relevancy in choosing sites for your backlinks (it doesn’t make the slightest bit of difference in real world testing);

[8] Remember that article directory backlinks have the LEAST value and forums have the MOST (at least in my experience);

[9] Boost the backlinks that you do create with Backlink Booster AND my rss>autoblogposting method; and,

No matter if you are just starting your Internet business or if you are a seasoned professional you are going to need ways of getting the word out to the public about what you are promoting. Creating backlinks is a wonderful way to make the search engines notice you. Let me put it this way. You have a specific niche. You want specific or related backlinks pointing to that niche.

I’ve mentioned about leaving related backlinks on a forum. You do that by finding a related forum and leaving a relevant comment there. You might think that the comment is your backlink but it isn’t. Signature are created in the forums. Your signature holds the URL to your Website or landing page. You signature is added to your comment when you save your comment. And now your backlink is added to the forum.

To review I will list in order the steps you would follow to add related
backlinks to a forum.

1. Based upon you niche, find forums that related to it.

2. Most of the forums will make you register so go ahead and register to the
forum.

3. Locate the profile and fill it out. If there is an entry for a Website URL enter your sites address there.

4. Locate the place to enter your Signature. Modify your signature by entering the HTML tag to your Website. The forums will normally let you enter a tag looking something like this: [url=http://Place Your Website URL Here]The Keyword Used In Your Article Here[/url]

5. Many of the forums will let you preview your Signature. Preview it and modify
it until you are happy with it.

6. Here is where the fun starts. Now you are looking for comments that relate to you niche. Upon finding a nice related comment, enter your own thoughtful comment.

7. Most forums will allow you to preview your comment before posting. When preview your comment, look at your Signature. If you’re happy with your comment then post it.

8. Congratulations! You have mastered the art of creating related and relevant backlinks!
